We said we wouldn't go into the central area of the Algarve but we were invited to add this villa to our collection and Loulé is such a lovely, authentic Portuguese town so in the end it was an easy choice! The town's castle, cobbled streets and traditional restaurants guarantee you a 'Real Portugal' experience. We know how important access to good beaches is and there are several excellent choices west and east of Faro.

High quality independent villa with private pool offering space & privacy

A very spacious 4 bedroom luxury villa equipped to a high specification with everything you will need for a relaxing and discerning summer holiday.

The villa enjoys far reaching views of the rolling hills with the sea in the distance. The villa is highly secluded, surrounded by private, landscaped gardens.

The decor, furnishings and equipment are all of a high standard. Because this is a family home for 9-10 months of the year it is exceptionally well-equipped.

The vast and imposing entrance hall sets the tone and the living room offers more than enough space for 8 guests. This room is modern and bright with direct access to the garden and terraces. The dining area includes a table for 8 people - not that we expect you to be eating indoors at any stage!

From the dining area, you have access to the modern and fully-quipped kitchen which also has doors to the garden/terrace.

All 4 bedrooms enjoy king size beds and have en-suite shower or bathroom. The villa is arranged having 2 bedroom suites on the ground floor and 2 on the first floor.

The ground floor doubles can be separated into two singles - handy for families. One of these bedrooms has direct access to the terrace/garden.

Both upper floor bedrooms have direct access to the south-facing baclony running the width of the villa.

Games room with table tennis, making this very popular with teenagers and younger children.

The villa is accessed via a long, gated drive-way.

The villa is situated in a large, secluded plot with ample spaces for relaxing, eating and sunbathing.

Take your pick of the different dining areas outside to enjoy those magnificent al-fresco dining experiences. A covered terrace provides an outside dining area for 8 people - a BBQ is provided.

To the front of the villa there is a lawn area for kids to play. South-facing you can choose to soak up the rays or find a shady spot under the palm trees.

The brand new swimming pool is simply stunning with an infinity edge and extensive sunbathing terraces.

Parking for several cars.

The Local Area

A popular day-trip destination for Algarve visitors, the inland market town of Loulé retains its traditional Portuguese charm. And it's because the town is inland that Loulé doesn't have the 'tourist-y' feel of the Algarve coastline - it's a working town with unassuming locals going about their daily lives.

The town is at its most lively on Saturdays when the fabulous market extends into neighbouring streets. In fact it is the Moorish covered market that is the focal point of the town. Market stalls feature fresh fish, food and gifts, all sourced locally and sold by local families. Open every day except Sunday.

In addition to the market there are other sights of interest including the castle, municipal museum, chapel and convent. Or, take your time strolling the cobbled side-streets and tree-lined plazas and soak up the Portuguese atmosphere.

Evenings are a great time to visit Loulé when the atmosphere is lively and friendly with restaurants spilling out into the plazas and side streets. This is a good place for sampling traditional (and much underrated) Portuguese cuisine.

The town also has a fabulous open-air pool which is fun with the kids, plus there are several tennis courts here too.
